Our Palace is a historically important building under monument protection and is fully equipped with 200 characteristique rooms, a large lobby with fireplace in elegant style, a respectable restaurant in retro design, a bar lounge with terrace, a historic theatre hall. The Spa area consists of a heated outdoor pool, hammam, sauna, fitness room, relaxation area and 6 massage rooms, including a duo massage room.

The historical theatre and the lounges can be used privately by companies as well as seminar and conference organisers within the framework of a personalised offer: The historically protected rooms provide you space for any professional or cultural events.

Villars was built on a natural mountain terrace at 1300 m above sea level overlooking the Rhone Valley, whose breathtaking panorama opens to the south and west to the Muverans range and the Dents du Midi. The typical alpine architecture in Villars has welcomed Swiss and international guests for over 150 years.

You can reach Villars without any problems: Situated north of the Alps, it is certainly the nearest winter resort to Geneva (airport, 115 km), Lausanne (60 km, TGV train station) and thus only half a day’s journey away from most European capitals and major cities.

The centre of Bretaye’s ski slopes can be reached in 25 minutes by cog railway, whose station is only 70 metres from the hotel. Here you can expect: magnificent views of the Mont Blanc, 125 km of slopes on three interconnected ski areas, which is a total of 220 km of slopes in the Vaud Alps.

Not only experienced skiers can expect an exciting winter adventure: The area is ideal for non-skiers, children and beginners as well. The free shuttle bus or the cable car will take you to the winter paradise in just 20 minutes!

Children and adult beginners can ski for free in the spacious hotel garden, which is equipped with a ski lift and a bar. Our partner ski school also runs the corresponding snow garden.

The ski school offers many different group lessons, for children from 3 years, private lessons in skiing, snowboarding, telemark, freestyle, cross-country skiing, ski tours, disabled skiing and other alternatives to skiing such as snowshoeing or biathlon. The resort offers a sledge slope, an ice skating area, a bowling alley and many other alternative winter activities.
